It just does not get much better than two artists that you already love separately coming together and covering a song that you already enjoy. The original is from The Righteous Brothers and was a hit song when it was released. But it got super famous when the original Top Gun was released in 1986. It is the scene where the pilots sing this song that really got the song on the map. At least, it did for me.
So, released in 1964, then made famous in 1986, and then covered by two artists which are changing the face of country music in 2020. What a ride!
Here Orville Peck and Paul Cauthen partner to become the The Unrighteous Brothers.
In this partnership they cover two songs from the The Righteous Brothers. This one and Unchained Melody. And let me tell you both are worth your time. Their voices sound fantastic together and do real justice to these great classics.
This song is good for a good old karaoke night.
Enjoy!
If you liked this then give the artists Orville Peck and Paul Cauthen (who else was I going to recommend?) a try.
