Does anyone remember the 1993 movie So I Married an Axe Murderer with Mike Myers and Nancy Travis? This song may be been released over 20 years after that movie came out but it would have totally fit into it's soundtrack. The song has a very retro psychedelic lean to it which makes it really hard to guess when it was released. That sound with this set of lyrics is what makes me sure, that if there was a remake of the movie, this song would be on the soundtrack.
She waited in the darkest corner all night
Until I closed up shop, I turned out the lights
Then she begged for me to drive her home
When we pulled up to her bleeding dollhouse
She said, “Park behind the hearse”
I said, “No need, get out and take your purse”
This song is good for honoring the little voice, that comes from the pit of your stomach, when it tells you to run.
Enjoy!
