The story of Ren is similar to the story of Melody Gardot in that both of these artist had to fight to be with us today. Ren contends with Lyme disease and Melody has ongoing issues from a life-threatening bicycle accident. Yet, here is Ren with a track about blocking out all the terrible things that might be happening around us to focus on building our power. This song is great on its own but knowing Ren's personal story brings a deeper meaning to his words. If all you saw was this video, you'd could see this as just a cocky guy taking about how great he is but it is more than that. He is still struggling with this disease and has reached out for help via a GoFund me campaign. If this song speaks to you, then I suggest you help Ren out.
