Was I a Mike Posner fan? Not, really. I thought that his music was fine, just fine but not great. Then, I came across an interview that he did with Rick Roll. In this interview Mike speaks about what he has been doing and why. He's been doing things like walking across America, getting bitten by a rattlesnake, and then climbing Mt. Everest. Part of this came from dealing with grief and part of this was as the video for Home says at time 0:36 "To find out who I'd become". Now I am a fan of the music but also of Mike himself.
Like why am I doing Music Is My Church? Part of it to share music that I love, part to have a reason to keep listening for music that spikes the dopamine, and part to see what might happen. But there are other goals that I start but find reasons not to fully commit to them. It is songs like Home that remind me of why I even wanted the goal to begin with and to really commit to it. Love it.
This song is good for inspiring you to reach for whatever goal you set with all you've got because you want to find out who you'd become if you did.
