I am so ready for summer time. For long days, full of heat. Days of sitting on the back porch, feet up, drinking a cold ice tea, and just letting time slide by. But what would all that be without music? It would be fine, just fine. Then, add some music and the moment can become magical.
And that is where this song from Johnny Balik comes in. This cool Canadian based out of Tennessee has given me just the song for the moment. And yes, I get the weird combination of the song's tone and how I plan to enjoy it. The song feels like a sad story about wanting something but not getting it, yet I am using this song to make my summertime better because I have what I want. But sometimes hearing a sad song is the reminder we need of how good we've got it.
So, may your tea be cold and your days be long.
