This song by Edie Brickell & New Bohemians always confuses me. I can look up the official date that it came out, 1988, but I associate this with the mid-1990's. It seems impossible for a song that sounds like this to have been released in the 80's. I am going to say that this confusion means that Edie Brickell & New Bohemians were ahead of their time.
This song is good for reminding us that you don't need huge production to create a hugely great song or video.
