Who needs to win a singing competition? Not Daughtry or others like Adam Lambert or Jennifer Hudson. All artists which were part of the American Idol competition and did not win. Who cares though, when you go on to do such amazing work as they have. Daughtry was a rock star with or without American Idol but the exposure was probably helpful.
Years after that American Idol experience, we have Daughtry putting out an album full of powerful rock anthems, Dearly Beloved. Using that extraordinary voice of his, backed by a band that is all in, to give us the words and sounds needed to find the power within us to face head on any challenges that come our way. Beautiful!
