This Calle 13 song expresses so well a general feeling that I am having at this time. A feeling of needing a stiff drink and some space to deal with all the crap going on in the world. Problems with war, politics, healthcare, opportunity distribution, abortion rights, voting rights, equality, supply chain, rising costs, cost of living...........on, and on, and on. Sometimes we just need to take a breath and know that just existing in interesting times is a struggle. Through that struggle may we find a better way to be.
If you don't know Calle 13 a little background. They are an awesome reggaeton rap group from Puerto Rico. From their beginning in 2004, they shook the world with their lyrics and rhythms. Currently, they say that they are on break with each member Residente, Visitante, and ILe all working on their own projects. Fingers crossed they come together again.
This song is good for doing exactly as told by the song A brindar por el aguante. Let's raise it up and toast to our endurance.
