I cannot believe that Allen did not win on American Song Contest. Allen Stone is a Blue-Eyed soul singer-songwriter who was representing for Washington State on the show. I was fully rooting for Allen to win but alas it was not to be.
He did get the most points from the jury of music professionals, which put him at the top for a while. Then, the people's votes came in and it went to another performer. I was with the jury and Allen would have been my winner. I am obviously out of step with those who voted for the show winner, and that is just fine with me.
This song is good for being grateful for the writers of songs and for the lives we get to live.
